Chap. 132.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1 of an act en-
utled an act to provide for the appointment of fish commissioners for
the state of Virginia, approved March 25, 1875.

Approved March 8, 1877.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section one of an act approved March twenty-fifth, eighteen
hundred and seventy-five, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:

$1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Viryinia,
That the governor is hereby authorized to appoint one com-
jetent person, who shall continue in office for two years from
the time of his appointment, and until his successor is ap-
pointed, who shall be known as commissioner of fisheries of
Virginia. |
