Chap. 27.—An ACT authorizing Raymond R. Hutchison, of Accomac
county, his Heirs and Assigns, to Erect a Wharf on Pungoteague
Creek in said county.
Approved January 26, 1876.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Raymond R. Hutchison, of Accomac county, his heirs and
assigns, shall be and are hereby authorized to construct at
his or. their own expense, a wharf on his land lying on Pun-
goteague creek, below water mark, in said county, and shall
have the right to charge, demand and receive from all per-
sons who may use the same, either for lading or unlading
vessels or steamers, or for vessels moored to or laying at the
said wharf, either for safety or for convenience, whenever
the said wharf ia completed, such fees as a compensation for
the use of said wharf as may have been agreed upon by and
between the parties, or as have heretofore been paid for the
same or similar use: provided, that such wharf shall not
obstruct or impair the free navigation of said creek: and
provided also, that this act shall at all times be under the
control of the general assembly, and may be amended or re-
pealed as they may deem proper.
2. Ihis act shall be in force from its passage.
