CHAP. 262.—JOINT RESOLUTION tendering the Acknowledgments
of the General Assembly of Virginia to the United States Authorities
for their action in reference to the Graves of the Confederate Dead at
Fort Deleware.
Agreed to February 2, 1876.
Whereas it appears from the correspondence had by the
governor of Virginia with the secretary of war, which has
been laid before the general assembly, that suitable arrange-
ments have been made for the proper protection and preser-
vation of the graves of Confederate dead near Fort Dele-
ware; therefore,
Be it resolved, That it is the sense of the general assembly
that the governor tender to the Federal authorities the grate-
ful acknowledgments of the state for the action taken in the
premises, as disclosed by the correspondence submitted:
