Chap. 261.—An ACT to change the Name of the Lynchburg Banking
and Insurance Company tothe Lynchburg Fire Insurance Company.

Approved March 29, 1876.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the name
of the Lynchburg Banking and Insurance Company, incor-
porated by act of assembly, approved July ninth, eighteen
hundred and seventy, be and it is hereby changed so as to
read The Lynchburg Fire Insurance Company; but it is pro-
vided, that no policy or other document which has hereto-
fore emanated from said company, or its authorized agents,
or shall hereafter emanate from said company, or its author-
ized agents, in which it has been or shall be designated as the
Lynchburg Banking and Insurance company, shall be affect-
ed by the fact that it is so designated; and the said company
may sue or be sued, in the name of the Lynchburg Banking
and Insurance company, or in the name of the Lynchburg
Fire Insurance company.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
