Chap. 24.—An° ACT to extend the Police Jurisdiction of the City of
Alexandria.

Approved January 26, 1876.

1., Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the police
jurisdiction of the city of Alexandria be and the same is
hereby extended for the distance of one mile north, south
and west of the corporate limits of said city.

2. That the police authorities of said city shall have juris-
diction to arrest and punish those guilty of offences within
the limits aforesaid, in like manner as if such offences were
committed within the corporate limits of the said city.

3. This act shall be in force from the day of its passage.
