Chap. 22.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section first, Chapter one
hundred and thirty, Acts of Assembly, eighteen hundred and seventy-
four-seventy-five, entitled an act to Release Certain Purchasers of the
De Tubeuf Lands, in Wise County, from the Payment of Interest
from January first, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, to January first,
eighteen hundred and seventy-two, inclusive.

Approved January 26, 1876,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That all pur-
chasers of lands from the state of Virginia, known as the
De Tubeuf lands, in the county of Wise, as well as all sub-
sequent purchasers of said lands, be and they are hereby re-
leased from the payment to the state of any interest on any
unpaid sums due the state on account of such purchases,
accruing between the first day of January, eighteen hundred
and sixty-two, and the first day of January, eighteen, hun-
dred and seventy-two, inclusive, that being the time the
state had no commission to receive the same.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
