Chap. 36.—An ACT to Release the Securities of Joseph Charlton from
the Payment of a Forfeited Recognizance.

' Whereas, it appears from the petition of Rice D. M. Charl-
ton and of Waddy C. Charlton, that they are the securities
of Joseph Charlton, upon two recognizances entered into by
him, the first for the sum of five hundred dollars for his ap-
pearance to answer a charge for stabbing, and the last for the
sum of fifty dollars, to answer a charge of larceny, both of
which recognizances have been forfeited by the nan-appear-
ance of the accused, and it appearing proper that the for-
feiture of the recognizance for the sum of five hundred dol-
lars should be released ; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That upon the
payment by the said securities of the sum of fifty dollars, the
amount of said last recognizance, together with the costs in-
curred in both said cases, the said sum of five hundred dol-
lars for which they are liable under the said firat recogni-
zance shall be and the same is hereby released, and the said
parties shall be exonerated from the payment thereot.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
