Chap. 341.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 9th Section of Chapter
156 of the Code of 1878, for the Transfer of Causes from the Counties
of Amherst and Nelson, to the Court at Staunton.
Approved April 30, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the ninth Cha:
section of the one hundred and fifty-sixth chapter of the Code [3%
of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, shall be amended and tren
re-enacted so as to read as follows: ofa
“$9. The court, at its session at Staunton, in the county 4™
of Augusta, shall hear and determine all appeals, writs of ame
error, or supersedeas which may be brought to the court of Cou
appeals, from or to decrees, judgments, sentences, or orders °45'
of court, from the residue of the counties west of the Blue heat
Ridge, and also from the counties of Albemarle, Amherst and cau
Nelson; and all cases from the counties of Amherst and Nel- #5
son on the docket of the court at Richmond, are hereby re- and
moved and transferred to the court at Staunton, there to be gta
docketed, heard and determined, and the clerk of the court put
at Richmond shall transmit the same to the clerk at Staun- * °
ton accordingly.”
