‘Chap. 327.—An ACT to prevent the Destruction of Fish in the North
Fork of Holston River.
Approved April 30, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall not Destructi
be lawful for any person to cause the destruction of any fish sh inno
in the waters of the North fork of Holston river, within the river in ¥
limits of Washington and Scott counties, by the use of any~
seines, dip-nets, stir-nets or set-nets.
2. Any person violating the preceding section, shall pay
the sum of ten dollars, for each and every such offence, the
same to be recovered before a justice of the peace, with costs,
and appropriated to the support of the poor of the county in
which the offence is committed; and, in addition, such per-.
son or persons shall forfeit any such seine or net.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
