Chap. 324.—An ACT authorizing the Governor to Annul Contracts in
hiring out Convicts.

Approved April 80, 1874.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Governor:
the governor be and he is hereby authorized and required to thorized &
annul and set aside any existing contract made in pursuance for hire of
ot law, authorizing the governor to hire out convicts in tho victs —
penitentiary, whenever in his opinion it shall be to the in-
terest of this commonwealth so to do, and authorized by the
provisions of the contract. \
