Chap. 278.—An ACT for the relief of William E. Michie of the County
of Charlotte.
Approved April 29, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby required
to issue his warrant upon the treasury in favor of Doctor
William E. Michie, of the county of Charlotte, for the sum
of one hundred dollars, which is in full payment, due to said
William E. Michie, on account of expenses incurred and pro-
fessional services rendered, in making a post mortem exam-
ination and chemical analysis (at the instance of the cqm-
monwealth’s attorney) of the stomach of a deceased colored
man named William Thornton, who it was alleged had come
to his death by poison.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
