Chap. 268.—An ACT for the relicf of William E. L. Peebles and Ben-
jamin F. Palmatary, eureties of J. D. Tatum, late Collector of Tem-
pleton Township, Prince George County, Virginia.

Whereas, it appears from the books of the auditor of pub-
lic accounts of this commonwealth, that the judgment against
J. D. Tatum, late collector of Templeton township, Prince
George county, Virginia, and William E. L. Peebles and Ben-
jamin F. Palmatary, his sureties, rendered by the county
court of Prince George county, June twelfth, eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-three, on account of the revenue of eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, has been fully paid, together with
all costs, and six per centum interest thereon: Therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the said
sureties of the said J. D. Tatum, collector as aforesaid, be-and
they are hereby relieved from the payment of two hundred
and fifty-four dollars and fifty-cight cents, being the amount
of damages awarded against them as sureties as aforesaid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
