Chap. 258.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the 16th section of chapter
128 of the Code of 1873, in reference to Commissioners in Chancery.
Approved April 28, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That ons
the sixteenth section of chapter one hundred and twenty- ©
eight of the Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, mie

shall be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“§ 16. Whenever any court shall deem it expedient, it may
_authorize and require one or more of its other commissioners
in chancery to settle accounts of fiduciaries; whereupon,
such commissioner may proceed to settle all such accounts of
fiduciaries as any fiduciary may lay before them, or any party
interested may require them to settle. And in the settle-
ment of any particular estate any court may,.on motion of
the fiduciary baving charge of such estate, or of any one in--
terested therein, order the account to be stated and settled
by any one of its commissioners in chancery; and any com-
missioner other than the commissioner of accounts, who shall
make settlement, shall, within thirty days, report the date
thereof to the commissioner of accounts, who shall enter the
same in his record book.”
