Chap. 203.—An ACT to Authorize the Vestry of Grace Protestant
Episcopal Church, Lexington, Virginia, to Borrow Money.
Approved April 15, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the vestry of Grace Protestant Episcopal
church, of the town of Lexington, to borrow such sum, not
exceeding ten thousand dollars, as they may deem advisable
for ‘the completion of their church edifice in said town; to
issue bonds therefor, of such denominations and description,
and bearing such rate of interest as the said vestry may de-
termine, not exceeding the legal rate of interest, and to se-
cure the payment of the interest and principal of said bonds
by a deed of trust upon all the real estate owned by said
church in said town, or upon any part of such real estate.
The bonds and deed of trust authorized by this act shall be
attested by the register of the vestry of said church, and
signed and sealed, and the deed acknowledged by the rector
of said church in the manner prescribed by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
