Chap. 194.—An ACT for the Appointment of Truste
Columbia, in the County of Fluvann:
Approved April 15, 1874.
Whereas by an act entitled an act establish
the lands of David Ross, at the Point of Fork
of Fluvanna, passed twenty-fifth of Novem
hundred and eighty-eight, now known as Col
Pleasants, Senior, Thomas Fleming Bates,
Senior, George Thompson, Tunstall Quarles,
ardson, and Duncan McLaughlan were appoir
said town: and. whereas by the fourth sectio:
was provided that in case of the death, rem
counties of Goochland or Fluvanna, or other disability of any
of the said trustees, it should be lawful for the others to sup-
ply such vacancy; and whereas all said trustees have long
since died, and none others having been appointed in cor-
formity with said act, or otherwise, to supply their vacan-
cies; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
A. Wakeham, George P. Cowherd, Philip Snoddy, Dr. J. W.
Richardson, Joseph Hodgson, Thomas E. Seay, and Joseph
L. Seay be, and they are hereby appointed trustees of the
said town of Columbia, with all the rights, powers, and da-
ties conferred on the original trustees. by the act of assembly
aforesaid, or by chapter fifty-four of the Code, or other sub-
sequent acts, not inconsistent with the general laws of the
state relating to towns.
- 2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
