Chap. 160.—An ACT Authorizing the Chancery Court of the City of
Richmond, to permit the Last Will of Charles Liston Brown, to be
“Withdrawn from the Clerk’s Office of said Court.
Approved April 9, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
t shall be lawful, any statute to the contrary notwithstanding,
or the chancery court of the city of Richmond, upon cause
Jhown deemed sufficient, to make an order in term time or
ra@cation granting leave to Thomas Brown, the sole executor
»f Charles Liston Brown, deceased, or any other person in-
erested in the will of said Charles Liston Brown, which has
»een duly admitted to record in said court, to withdraw the
aid will from the clerk’s office of said court upon filing a
-ertified copy thereof in said clerk’s office, in order that it
may be offered for probate in the state of New York: provi-
Jed, that no such order shall be made until a sale shall be
made by said court upon all parties interested in the probate
of said will to appear before said court, or the judge thereof,
>m some day to be designated in said rule, and show cause,
if any they can, why such order shall not be made; and the
publication of said rule in one newspaper, published in the
city of Richmond, once a week for four weeks successively,
shall be deemed equivalent to personal service of such rule
upon the parties or any of them. :
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
