Chap. 157.—An AUT to amend and re-enact Section 18 of an Act Ap-
proved March 27, 1878, Fixing the Times for Holding the Circuit
Courts of the State.
Approved April 9, 1874. .
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section
cighteen of an act approved March twenty-seventh, eighteen
yn undred and seventy-four, fixing the times for holding the
terms of the circuit courts of the state, be amended and re-
< nacted so as to read as follows:
‘*§ 18. This act shall take effect in each county and corpo-
ration in the state on the day after the last day of the first
term of the circuit court, forsuch county or corporation held
in the year of eighteen hundred and seventy-four, in pursu-
ance of section fifteen of chapter one hundred and fifty-five |
of the Code of eighteen hundred and seventy-three: provi-
«led, that if, in any county or corporation, the first term fixed
under this act would fall during the continuance of or subse-
quent to the first term of the circuit court of such county or
<orporation held in the year of cighteen hundred and seventy-
four, in pursuance of the said section, then this act shall take
effect as to such county or corporation on the day preceding
the day fixed for the second term for such county or corpo-
ration under this act.”
2. This act shall take effect from its passage.
