Chap. 147.—An ACT to Confirm Sale made by Trustees of Tinker Creek
Baptist Church, and Empower them to convey Land sold to the Big
Lick Board of Public Free School Trustees.
Approved April 2, 1874.
Whereas, Zachariah 8. Robinson and his wife, by deed bear-
ing date January eleventh, eighteen hundred and forty-one,
conveyed to William McDesmod, Tipton B. Evans, Stephen
Martin and Henry Kerns, and their successors, as trustees of
the Tinker Creek Baptist church, two lots inthe plat of
Gainsborough, Roanoke county, numbered fifty-six and fifty-
yeven, and the survivors and successors of said trustees have
contracted to sell said lots for the sum of one handred and
twenty-five dollars to the Big Lick board of public free school
trustees; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the said
sale is hereby confirmed and made valid; and that when the
Big Lick board of public free school trustees shall pay the
sum of one hundred and twenty-five dollars to William
McDesmod, Tipton B. Evans and Charles L. Cocke, the sur-
vivors and successors of the trustees of the Tinker Creek
Baptist church, then they shall, by deed, with special war-
ranty, convey to the Big Lick board of public free school
trustees, and their successors, the two lots in Gainsborough,
Roanoke county, numbered fifty-six and fifty-seven; and the
proceeds of said sale shall again be invested by the trustees
of the Tinker Creek Baptist church, for the benefit of said
church in Roanoke county.
2. This act shall be in forte from its passage.
