Chap. 111.—An ACT for the Relief of George W. Eldridge, R. C. Mot-
ley, and George W. Johnston, securities of John A. Graves, late col-
lector of Giles township, in the county of Amelia.
Approved March 16, 1874.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the treasu- x
rer of Amelia county is authorized and hereby required, upon J
a settlement of the judgments in the name of the common- G
wealth of Virginia, and in the name of the commonwealth =
of Virginia for the benefit of Giles township of said county, u
against George W. Eldridge, R. C. Motley, and George W.
Johnson, securities of John A. Graves, late collector of Giles
township, in the county of Amelia, to receive from said securi-
ties, in discharge of said judgments, the payment of the prin-
cipal, legal interest, and costs of collection, abating therefrom
the damages and excess of interest which have been awarded
for said default: provided, that nothing herein contained shall
be construed as relieving the said John A. Graves from the J
payment of any portion of said judgments and damages. {ff
