Chap. 60.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1 of chapter 202 of
the Code of 1873, in relation to the Trial of Indictments for Felonies. -
Approved January 19, 1875.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section one
of chapter two hundred and two of the Code of eighteen
hundred and seventy,three, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
§ 1. The circuit courts of the counties and the corporation
courts of the cities shall have exclusive original jurisdiction
for the trial of indictments for felonPks.
2. In all cases when a party has been indicted before his
arrest, and is subsequently arrested and held for trial, no new
indictment shall be required before such trisl, but the trial
shall proceed upon the indictment so found before arrest.
