Chap. 41.—An ACT for the Protection of Deer in the county of Gilee.
Approved January 15, 1875.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall not be lawful for any person to run or chase deer
with dogs in the county of Giles for a term of five years from
the date of the passage of this act. Any one violating this
law shall be fined twenty dollars, to be recovered before any
justice of the peace in said county. And this fme shall be
paid into the county treasury for county purposes, except so
much of it as is necessary to defray expenses of arrests and
trials of such offenders.
2. This act shall be in force from and after its passage.
