Chap. 338.—An ACT authorizing the Governor to extend the Lease of
the Armory Grounds.

1.. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the governor to renew the lease of that part of
the armory grounds now occupied by the Tredegar company
for manufacturing purposes, fora term not exceeding ten
years, such renewal to be upon such terms as the governor
shall deem fair and just to the state. The governor may, in
his discretion, lease the remainder of the : armory grounds
for a like period of time, and on such terms as may be agreed
on: provided, that should the state decide to sell the pro-
pony and offer the same at public auction to the highest
idder, the governor shall provide for the termination of ‘any
lease made under this act, by twelve months’ notice to the
lessees from date of such sale.
