Chap. 291.—An ACT to provide Commutation Pay to John C. Bass for
Loss of Leg.
Approved March 29, 1875.
Whereas it is represented by an order of the county court
Albemarle county on file in the auditor’s office, that John
Bass, a citizen of Albemarle county, lost a leg in the lato
ir, and though provided with an artificial lee by the state,
account of the nature of the amputation, said artificial log
uld pot be worn by him; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
public accounts be, and he is hereby authorized and di-
‘ted to issue his warrant on the treasury, payablo to John
Bass, for the sum of sixty dollars, to be paid out of the
mey appropriated by an act approved February twenty-
‘ond, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, entitled an act to
ow artificial limbs for maimed soldiers in wax, or to allow
ram ues tO therefor.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
