Chap. 277.—An ACT i in relation to a Vote of the People of Richmond
on the question of Subscription to the Buchanan and QOlifton Forge
Lailway.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the act
passed at the present session of the general assembly, in re-
lation to a vote by the people of Richmond on the question
of a subscription by the city of Richmond to the Buchanan
and Clifton Forge railway company, be so modified as to au-
thorize such subscription, if it meets the approval of three-
fourths of the voters voting at such election: provided, said
three-fourths shall include a majority of all the registered
freebolders of said city.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
