Chap. 247.—An ACT for the relief of the Securities of William P.
Rush, late Collector of Milboro Township, in Bath County.
Approved March 25, 1875.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the treasu-
er of Bath county be and he is hereby authorized and re-
juired, upon the settlement of the judgment in the name of
he commonwealth of Virginia, for the benefit of Milboro
ownship of said county, against William P. Rush, late col-
ector of said township, and Robert L. Moore and Charles
sitlington, his sureties, to receive from said sureties, in dis-
*~harge of said judgment, the payment of the principal, legal
nterest, and costs of collection, abating therefrom the dam-
1g@es and excess of interest which have been awarded for said
lefault: provided, that nothing herein contained shall be
construed as relieving the said William P. Rush from the
payment of any portion of said judgment and damages.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
