Chap. 240.—An ACT to require Steam Vessels Navigating James River
to Sound their Steam Whistles on Approaching the Bends thereof.
Approved March 25, 1875.
1, Be it enacted by the general assembly, That all steam
vessels navigating James river be, and they are hereby re-
quired to sound their steam whistles on approaching any
bend of said river above City Point.
2. Any failure to comply with the provisions of the first
section shall be punishable by a fine of not less than fifty nor
more than two hundred dollars. .
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
