Chap. 23.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 20 of chapter 157
of the Code of 1873, as amended, in relation to vacating the offices of
Judges for Removal.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section
twenty of chapter one hundred.and fifty-seven of the Code
of eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as amended by an
act approved January twenty-ninth, eighteen hundred and
seventy-four, entitled “An act to amend chapter one hun-
dred and fifty-seven of the Code of eighteen hundred and
seventy-three, so as to vacate the office of judges for removal
or for failure to qualify,” be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows: °
§20. The removal of any judge (other than a judge of the
supreme court of appeals) from the circuit, district, count
or jurisdiction of the corporation for which he was elected,
shall vacate his office.”
