Chap. 219.—An ACT to authorize the Sale of the Commons belonsisz
to the City of Manchester.

Approved March 25, 1875.

I. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia.
That it shall be lawfal for the.common council of the city of
Manchester, by a three-fourths vote of all the members of
said common council, to make sale of the commons, includ-
ing the water-power and fisheries of said city, by such mode
and upon such terms as said common council shall deem
proper.

2. The money derived from the sale of such commons shal:
be applied, first to the discharge of all liens and incam-
brances thereon, and tbe residue, to the construction of
water works for the use of said city, or the grading and
paving of the streets and alleys of said city.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
