Chap. 83.—JOINT RESOLUTION Instructing the Treasurer to Issue a
Duplicate of Check No. 2,572 to J. H. Greenlee.
Approved February 15, 1873.
Whereas, the treasurer of the commonwealth of Virginia did,
on the fourth day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine,
issue a check, number two thousand five hundred and seventy-
two, in favor of J. H. Greenlee for the sum of one hundred
thirty-one dollars and fifty cents, on the First National Bank
of Richmond; and whereas, the same has not been paid and
there is good reason to believe said check is lost:
1. Resolved by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
treasurer is hereby authorized and instructed to issue a dupli-
cate of check number two thousand five hundred and seventy-
two (being the number of warrant issued from second auditor's
office upon which the treasurer’s check was issued), the fourth
day of March, eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, for the sum of
one hundred thirty-one dollars and fifty cents ($131.50) in
favor of J. H. Greenlee, upon the said J. H. Greenlee or his
attorney filing bond with approved security, payable to the
commonwealth in the office of the treasurer, in the sum of
three hundred dollars, conditioned to indemnify the state
against any loss that may be incurred from the issue of said
check.
2. This resolution shall take effect from and after its adop-
tion.
