Chap. 82,—An ACT to Amend the first Section of an Act entitled ‘‘An
Act to Amend an Act to Incorporate the Valley Railroad Company,”
passed March Ist, 1867.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the first section of an act entitled “an act to amend an act
entitled an act to incorporate the Valley Railroad Company,”
passed March first, eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the Valley Railroad Company, in the construction of its track,
shall have authority to make the same not exceeding one hun-
dred feet wide on the surface, with the necessary additions
for the slopes of embankments and excavations, and to lay
down as many tracks as the president and directors of said
company, or a majority of them, may deem necessary, and all
contracts, grants and proceedings heretofore had, or made, for
constructing said road as aforesaid, are hereby made valid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
