Authorize the Trustees of Strasburg Academy, in Shenandoah count;
to Sell a certain lot of Land.
In force February 10, 1873.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That the first sectio:
of an act entitled an act to authorize the trustees of Strasbur;
Academy, in Shenandoah county, to sell a certain lot of land
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. That it shall be lawful for the trustees of Strasbur;
Academy, in the county of Shenandoah, to sell all or any par
of the lands devised to them by the last will and testament o
Christian Stover (son of Peter Stover), with such building a
may be thereon, except one and one quarter acres thereof, upo:
such terms as they may deem most advantageous, and to in
vest the proceeds of such part thereof as they may deem ad
visable, in the repair or erection of buildings on the portio1
of the land not sold, or in well secured loans, as they may
deem best calculated to carry out the purposes of the devisor
Upon the payment of the purchase money, said trustees are
authorized to convey title to said land to the purchaser; anc
it shall be their duty to report to the county court of saic
county for record, an account of the purchase money receivec
by them, and the manner in which the same has been disbursec
and invested.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
