Chap. 47.—AN ACT releasing the Bank of Danville from the Payment of
its Notes upon certain conditions.

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That R
upon the approval of this act, it shall be lawful for the Dan- }
ville Bank, by advertisement for the period of six months, to be ¥
published weekly in two or more newspepers of this state, and ¢
in some newspaper published in the city of Baltimore, Mary-
land, to require the holders of its notes to present the same
for redemption, at par, at the office of said bank in Danville;
and at the expiration of six months, after due publication as >
aforesaid, all of said notes which shall not be so presented, d
are hereby declared barred by lapse of time; and the obliga- ¢
tion of said bank and of its stockholders to redeem the same,
is hereby declared extinguished and released.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
