Chap. 364.—An ACT Directing the Auditor of Public Accounts to Receive
from the Sureties of Robert F. Vaughan, late Sheriff of Goochland
County, Coupon Bonds of the State in Payment of their Liabilities as
such Sureties. ~
Approved April 2, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to receive from the sureties of Robert F. Vaughan, late sheriff
of Goochland county, coupon bonds of the state of Virginia,
at par, with coupons receivable in payment of taxes and public
dues, in full satisfaction of the liabilities of said sureties to the
state under the official bond of said Vaughan: provided, that
as to the liability of said Robert F. Vaughan to the common-
wealth, the bonds so received shall be credited only at their
market value at the time of their delivery.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
