Chap. 349.—JOINT RESOLUTION Appropriating a sum of ‘Money to
Replace Houdon’s Statue of Washington in the Rotunda of the
Capitol.
Approved April 1, 1873.
1. Resolved, That one thousand dollars, or so much as may
be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of
any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to make
secure the former site of the Houdon statue of Washington,
and that the statue be then replaced.
2. This resolution shall be in force from its passage.
