Chap. 34.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact the Second Sectien of an
Act entitled ‘An Act authorizing an Increase of the Capital Stock of the
Kanawha Coal Company, and for other purposes,” passed March Ist,
1858.
In force January 16, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the second section of an act entitled “An act authorizing an
increase of the capital stock of the Kanawha Coal Company,
and for other purposes,” passed March first, eighteen hundred
and fifty-eight, be, and the same is hereby, re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
§ 2. Be it further enacted, That the corporate rights and
privileges of said company be, and they are hereby, extended
for the term of fifty years; and no suspension of operations by
the said company heretofore, at any time, shall be construed as
a forfeiture of its corporate rights and privileges, nor shall any
suspension so operate, unless it shall be for more than ten
years at a time.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
