Chap. 237.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section one of Chapter fif-
teen of the Code, as Amended and Re-enacted by an Act approved
November 1st, 1870, in Relation to the Times of Meeting of the Gen-
eral Assembly.
In force March 26, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section one
of chapter fifteen of the Code of Virginia, as amended by an
act approved November first, eighteen hundred and seventy,
be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. The general assembly shall meet on the first day of
January, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and every year
thereafter. If the first day of January of any year should be
Sunday, then it shall meet on the next day thereafter. It shall
sit at the capitol, in the city of Richmond, but may adjourn to
any other place.
2. This act shall be in force from and after the expiration of
the present session.
