Chap. 22.—An ACT to Sell the Lands in the County of Accomac, Donated
by Samuel Sanford, and Apply the Proceeds to Free School Purposes.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the land donated by the will of Samuel Sanford, formerly of
Accomac county, and bearing date March twenty-seventh,
seventeen hundred and ten, and of record in the county court
of said county, for the education of indigent children within
certain limits of said county, be placed under the entire control
of the county school board of Accomac, with power to sell said
lands if desired: provided, that the design of the donor be
carried out as far as possible, and within the prescribed limits
of said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
