Chap. 212.—An ACT to Increase the Capital Stock of the Petersburg
Gas Light Company.

Approved March 22, 1873.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the Petersburg Gas Light Company be and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to enlarge their capital stock by
the addition of thirty thousand dollars thereto.

2. The additional capital stock herein authorized may be
issued from time to time and sold at public auction by the
president and board of directors in order to raise money for
the purposes of said company: provided, that no share or shares
of said stock shall be sold at less than the par value of the
same.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
