Chap. 202.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section 1 of an Act passed
April 27th, 1867, entitled an Act to Incorporate the Planters and Me-
chanics Insurance Company of Danville, and to Change its Name to the
Danville Banking and Insurance Company.
Approved March 20, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section one
of an act passed April twenty-seventh, eighteen hundred and
sixty-seven, entitled an act to incorporate the Planters and
Mechanics Insurance Company of Danville, be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly. of Virginia, That
W. T. Clark, Wm. H. Jones, Berryman Green, C. G. Holland
and W. P. Robinson, and such others as may hereafter asso-
ciate with them, are hereby created and declared to be a body
politic and corporate, by the name and style of the Danville
Banking and Insurance Company, and by that name and style
shall have ail the nghts, powers and privileges conferred, and
be subject to all the rules, regulations and restrictions imposed,
by the Code of Virginia, and all acts amendatory thereof, ap-
plicable to such a corporation, and not inconsistent with this
act.
2. This act suall be in force from its passage.
