Chap. 173.—\n ACT to Incorporate Henderson Lodge, No. 105, Inde-
pendent Order of Odd Fellows, situated in the Town of Manchester.

In force March 14, 1873.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Samuel E.
Woodfin, T. W. Crow, Elihue Morrisette, L. R. Chiles, J. C.
Wells, F. C. D. Farmer and Wm. L. Holt, and such other per-
sons a8 are now or may hereafter be regularly associated with
them, be and they are hereby incorporated and made a body
politic and corporate, under the name and style of Henderson
Lodge, number one hundred and five, Independent Order of
Odd Fellows, situated in the town of Manchester; and by that
name shall have perpetual succession and a common seal, may
sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and may purchase,
and hold to them and their successors, any lands, tenements,
chattels and goods, of what kind soever, as may be conducive
to the objects of such association, not to exceed in value fifteen
thousand dollars.

2. It shall be lawful for the said Lod§e to borrow a sum not
exceeding ten thousand dollars, at a rate not exceeding the
legal rate of interest, for the purpose of erecting a building
suitable for a hall, giving security for the same by deed of trust
or mortgage bond upon their real estate.

3. The assent of a majority of all the members of said asso-
ciation shall be necessary for the purchase or sale of any estate,
either real or personal, in the name and for the benefit of said
association. |

4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
