Chap. 150.—An ACT Declaring and Prescribing what Fees a Justice of
the Peace may Charge for Services Connected with the Trial of War-
rants for Small Claims.

Whereas, doubts exist as to the fees which justices of the
peace may charge for services connected with the trial of war-
rants for small claims; to remove which—
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That every jus-.
tice of the peace may, for the trial by warrants in which the
commonwealth is not the plaintiff, charge for all services which
he may perform in such cases, including the issuing of war-.
rants and subpoenas, the swearing of witnesses, the taxing of
costs and issuing of executions, fifty cents and no more, which
shall be taxed in the costs and recovered as other costs are.
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent with this act are:
hereby repealed.
8. This act shall be in force from its passage.
