Chap. 137.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Chapter 62 of the Acts of
1871-72, approved February 2d, 1872, entitled an Act Authorizing the
Collection of the Unpaid Taxes of the County of Orange for the
Years 1868 and 1869.

1. Be it enacted, That chapter sixty-two of the acts of
seventy-one and seventy-two, approved February second, eigh- j
teen hundred and seventy-two, entitled an act authorizing the i
collection of the unpaid taxes of the county of Orange for *
the years eighteen hundred and sixty-eight and eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-nine, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
§1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That s
the present gheriff of the county of Orange be authorized to >
receive and collect all taxes, fee bills and county levies which 1
were due in the years eighteen hundred and sixty-eight and
eighteen hundred and sixty-nine, and are still unpaid; and he g
shall hereby possess the same legal right in the collection of #
the same as was possessed by the sheriff at the period herein-
before mentioned. Said right shall continue twelve months
from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. - ¢
