Chap. 101.—An ACT to Enable the Vestrymen of the Lyttleton Parish,
in the County of Cumberland, to sell certain Church Property and Re-
invest the Proceeds.
Approved February 26, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
William A. Perkins and others, vestrymen of the parish of
Lyttleton, in the county of Cumberland, be and the same are
nereby authorized and empowered to sell in such manner, and
ipon such terms as they may deem proper, a certain lot of
and lying in said county, containing two acres, more or less,
with a church thereon, which was conveyed by deed to the
vestrymen of said parish by Davis Brown, of said county, for
the use of the inhabitants thereof.
2. A majority of the vestrymen of the said parish may act,
and a deed executed by them to the purchaser or purchasers
thereof shall be valid and binding; and the;said vestrymen, or
a majority thereof, may appropriate the proceeds of sale for
the benefit of their church in such manner as they may deem
best.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
