Chap. 80.—An ACT to Extend the Time within which James Fields, late
Sheriff of Washington County, may Collect the Taxes for the years
eighteen hundred and sixty-nine and eighteen hundred and seventy.
Approved February 8, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That James Fields,
late sheriff of Washington county, be and he is hereby allowed
a further time, till the thirty-first day of December, eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, to collect any unpaid taxes, in his
hands for collection, for the years eighteen hundred and sixty-
nine and eighteen hundred and seventy; and, to enable him to
do so, he shall have the same power of distress as was in force
in the said years of eighteen hundred and sixty-nine and
eighteen hundred and seventy, and applicable to the collection
of taxes by sheriffs.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
