Chap. 34.—An ACT to Authorize the Common Council of the Town of
Harrisonburg to submit the Question of Levying a Special Tax for
Water Purposes, to the voters of said Town.
Approved January 28, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the common council of the town of Harrisonburg be authorized
to submit to the voters of said town the question of levying
a special tax, not to exceed the sum of fifteen hundred dollars,
upon the last assessed value of the real and personal property
of the said town of Harrisonburg, for the purpose of building
cisterns for the use of the fire department, and of the said
town.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
