Chap. 270.—An ACT to Authorize the Trustees of York River Church to
Execute a Deed of Trust or Mortgage upon the Buildings of said Chureh
to Secure the Payment of Debts Due for the Cost of Building the Same.
Approved March 21, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of York River Church, at Bigler’s Mills, in York
county, Virginia, be and are hereby authorized and empowered
to create any lien or incumbrance upon, or execute any mort-
gage or trust deed on the buildings of said church necessary
for them to secure the payment of any and all debts due for
the costs of material and erection of the said buildings. The
said deed shall be subject to the provisions of chapter one
hundred and seventeen of the Code of Virginia (eighteen hun-
dred and sixty), and shall be as effectual as if executed by an
individual.
2. This act shall be in force from and after its passage.
