Chap. 256.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section Nine of an Act to
Incorporate the Chesapeake Warehouse Company of Norfolk, Virginia,
Approved March 6th, 1872.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section nine of an act to incorporate the Chesapeake Ware-
house Company, passed March eighteen hundred and
seventy-two, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows:

§ 9. The first annual meeting of the company shall be held
at such place as the incorporators or a majority of them may
determine, on the first Monday in March, in the year one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-two, or as soon thereafter as
practicable; and at the first and every subsequent annual meet-
ing, the stockholders shall elect five of their number to consti-
tute a board of directors, to remain in office until the next
annual meeting or until their successors are elected.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
