Chap. 249.—An ACT for the Relief of W. R. Vaughan and W. T. Smith
Executors of W. 8S. Smith, Deceased.
Approved March 21, 1872.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor
of public accounts be and he is hereby authorized and directed
to pay to W. R. Vaughan and W. T. Smith, executors of W.
S. Smith, deceased, out of any money in the treasury not oth-
erwise appropriated, the sum of eighty-five dollars, that being
the amount of taxes assessed against and paid upon the estate
of said W. 8. Smith, known as Ceileys, in the county of Eliza-
beth city, for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-nine and part
of the year eighteen hundred and seventy, the said property
having been withheld from them by such power as the state
could not resist.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
