Chap. 237.—An ACT Extending the Time for Repair or Rebuilding of
Mills Destroyed by the Late Flood, or Duriny the Late War.
In force March 19, 1872
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the owner or tenant of any mill, mull-dam, toll bridge, mant-
factming machine, or engine, which may have been destroyed
by the late flood (in September, 1870), or during the late war,
shall have two years from the passage of this act in which to
begin, and four years in which to finish the rebuilding o1
repair of the same, without being subjected to the forfeiture
provided by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
