Chap. 233.—An ACT Authorizing the Trustees of Waddell Lodge of
Ancient Free and Accepted Masons No. 228, at Gordonsville, Virginia,
to Borrow Money and Execute a Deed of Trust,
Approved March 19, 1872.
Whereas, it is represented that Waddell Lodge number twc
hundred and twenty-eight, at Gordonsville, Virginia, for the
purpose of erecting a suitable hall, have contracted a debt fon
money borrowed, and that they are desirous of securing the
same: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, Tha‘
it shall be lawful for the trustees appointed by said lodge tc
execute a deed of trust upon the house now used by them as
a lodge, or the lot upon which the said lodge is erected, 01
both, for the purpose of securing any debts heretofore con
tracted for money borrowed to aid in the erection of thei
lodge building or of securing any loan made by them for the
purpose of discharging any such debt, which provisions shal
be subject to the provisions of chapter one hundred and seven-
teen of the Code of Virginia, edition of eighteen hundred and
sixty, and shall be as effectual as if executed by an individual.
